Record and review Transfers

Record money moving between your own eligible bank or credit-card accounts without treating it as income or expense.

Record a manual Transfer

  1. Open Transfers.
  2. Choose the source and destination accounts.
  3. Enter the date and positive amount.
  4. Optionally add a memo.
  5. Save the Transfer.

The source and destination must be different eligible active accounts. Transfer History shows the saved account movement.

On a supported phone width, the Transfer destination uses the same Workspace accounts and posting rules. Choose From account and To account, enter a positive amount and date, and optionally add a memo. The phone form does not show an available or current account balance because xBoox statement imports are periodic records rather than live bank feeds.

Post a detected bank pair

xBoox may suggest a pair when two imported rows have the same absolute amount, opposite directions, different eligible accounts, and nearby posted dates.

Review the suggestion before posting. Posting either side creates one Transfer transaction and links both bank rows to it. Posting the other side later must not create a duplicate Transfer.

From the current bank row's perspective:

  • Money Out displays Transfer To Account.
  • Money In displays Transfer From Account.

Undo a paired Transfer

Undo from either paired row returns both bank rows to Pending and soft-deletes the single bank-created Transfer transaction.

Important rules

  • A Transfer is not Income and not an Expense.
  • Pair detection is a suggestion; it does not post automatically.
  • A Year End Review Shareholder Loan Transfer is a separate controlled accounting action, not an ordinary bank-account Transfer.
