Respond to a Workspace Health Check

Understand a Workspace Health Check message and use the linked setting to review a material configuration issue.

Workspace Health Check can identify a material mismatch in saved Workspace settings. The message is advisory: it does not change data or prevent you from using the Workspace.

Use the message

  • Select Open Business Profile to go to the existing setting that needs

review.

  • Select Help Center to open the exact recovery instructions in a new tab.
  • Select Continue to close the message and keep using xBoox.

The message does not contain editable settings. Make corrections only on the named xBoox settings page so the normal validation and save rules still apply.

Current check

The first Workspace Health Check detects only this condition:

  • GST/HST is set to Registered; and
  • Primary Province / Territory is missing or invalid.

This can prevent province-based sales-tax codes and defaults from being available. It does not mean that xBoox selected the wrong province, and xBoox will not guess a province for you.

To resolve the message, follow Configure GST/HST tracking.

When the message appears

xBoox loads and opens the Workspace first. After the page is available, it runs one independent background check. It does not run a separate check every time you open Expenses, Income, Bank Transactions, or another bookkeeping page.

The same saved issue is shown at most once per Workspace in the current browser session, although it can appear again after the application is reloaded if it remains unresolved.

If the check is slow, temporarily unavailable, or cannot finish, xBoox silently abandons that check. Workspace loading, navigation, saving, and bookkeeping remain available.

Important boundaries

  • Workspace Health Check does not repair, delete, or rewrite data.
  • It does not delay or determine whether a Workspace can open.
  • Every message can be closed with Continue.
  • It does not replace professional tax or accounting advice.
  • A Custom Industry is not an error merely because xBoox starter templates are

absent.

  • Future checks will be limited to material issues and documented before they

are added.
